Welcome to the home page of what we consider to be the best airfield on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. The runway 15 (left hand circuits) and 33 (right hand circuits) is unlicenced and has an almost all weather regularly mown grassed surface 1164 meters long. It has a separate male and female toilet block plus a dedicated hard stand exclusively for use the R.F.D.S.
Traffic operates on the CTAF unicom frequency of 126.7 with agricultural ops within 10nm radius up to 500ft AGL. WAC chart 3219. Atherton is a little over an hours drive from Cairns either down the Kuranda or Gillies ranges.
The airport is also home to the Atherton Aero Club which meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
